
GIK successfully concluded its Annual Industrial Open House (IoH) 2026, marking the culmination of a flagship academia–industry engagement featuring innovation, leadership, and professional excellence.
The closing ceremony was graced by Mr. Zarrar Hasham Khan, Federal Secretary, Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan, as the Chief Guest. His presence, as a distinguished alumnus of GIK Institute, underscored the institute’s legacy of producing professionals contributing at the highest levels of national leadership.
The event also featured Mr. Ahmed Bilal Masud, Deputy CEO, HUAWEI Pakistan, alongside senior industry experts and academic leadership, reaffirming strong collaboration between global industry leaders and Pakistan’s higher education sector.
Prof. Dr. Fazal Khalid, SI, Rector, GIK Institute, highlighted the institute’s unwavering commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically strong but also capable of driving innovation and national progress. The Rector also acknowledged and thanked the Institute’s industry partners for their continued collaboration and valued engagement.
Industrial Open House 2026 showcased 153 final-year projects from 11 undergraduate degree programs, addressing real-world challenges across software engineering, artificial intelligence, electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, management sciences, and emerging technologies. The projects were evaluated by representatives from 70 leading public and private sector organizations, creating opportunities for recruitment, collaboration, and applied research engagement.
Addressing the ceremony, the Federal Secretary of IT & Telecommunications highlighted the importance of innovation, entrepreneurship, and indigenous technological development, encouraging graduating engineers to play a leading role in Pakistan’s digital and economic transformation.
Certificates were distributed among the First, Second, and Third position holders and across departments, recognising outstanding innovation, technical depth, and practical relevance.
