GIKI Hosts Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan to Strengthen Academic and Technological Collaboration
Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) welcomed H.E. Mr. Rongvudhi Virabutr, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan, to discuss academic and technological cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Fazal Khalid, SI, Pro-Rector (Academics) Prof Dr S. M. Hasan Zaidi, and Acting Pro-Rector (Administration) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sabir, along with Deans and Heads of Departments.
Key discussion points included facilitating MoUs, initiating student and faculty exchange programs, and exploring joint research in robotics, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and electric vehicle technologies. The Ambassador appreciated GIKI’s Incubation Center and expressed keen interest in its innovation-driven initiatives.
The visit concluded with a tour of GIKI’s advanced laboratories in Cyber Security, AI, Data Analytics, Robotics, and Civil Engineering. GIKI invited the Ambassador to the HONET Conference scheduled for early December.
