We are deeply saddened by the passing of our esteemed alumnus, Furqan Muhammad Khan (GIKI ME Batch 20), who was serving as Assistant Commissioner. He passed away while on duty in the flood-affected region of Head Balloki. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
He had been continuously engaged in rescue and relief operations in flood-affected areas for several days, staying at the site and ensuring round-the-clock monitoring of the operation. His sad demise is not only a loss to his family and friends but also to the nation, which he served with exceptional courage and devotion.
The GIKI community takes immense pride in his service and sacrifice. His commitment to duty, compassion for humanity, and resilience in the face of adversity will always be remembered as a shining example for all.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and give strength to his loved ones to bear this irreparable loss.
A condolence reference was held at the GIK Institute on September 1, 2025, which was attended by the Rector, Pro-Rectors, Deans, Directors, Senior Faculty Members, and Student Representatives.
