Founded in 2003, Microsoft’s Imagine Cup is the company’s premier student technology and innovation competition. It provides an opportunity for student technologists, developers and aspiring entrepreneurs from all academic backgrounds to collaborate, develop a technology application, and bring their passion to life while gaining a perspective of what is needed to bring a concept to market. The goal of Microsoft’s Imagine Cup is to provide a platform to the students to commercialize their ideas and projects that can lead to entrepreneurship. Team Omega from GIKI participated in Microsoft Imagine Cup 2022 where they developed ‘Mind Braille’, a smartphone application for people with motor disabilities, and secured a winning position in the regions of Europe, Middle East, and Africa. For this year’s Imagine Cup, more teams plan on participating from GIKI.
In this regard, Microsoft Club GIKI under the Student Affairs Department organized an info session where students got a chance to interact with senior faculty of FCSE and they learned more about participating in the Imagine Cup.
