GIK Institute and Momentum entered into a MoU earlier this year to facilitate the promotion of entrepreneurship via collaboration between the two organizations.
GIK Institute exhibited three of its startups, Green Appliances, Greenovation and PrepareHow at the conference held in Karachi.
Team Greenovation, which converts biohazardous plastic waste into LPG, went on to win a slot in the Top 10 startups out of more than the 300 which were on display.
Dr Jameel Nabi, Pro Rector (Academics) went on to comment, “GIK University is committed to furthering entrepreneurship in the country. We are in the process of establishing a world class incubation facility under the able guidance of Rector GIK Mr. Jehangir Bashar, Professor Dr. Wasim and Dr. Cedric. And we look forward to working with the Momentum group in promoting even more innovative startups from our program such as evidenced by team Greenovation. Congratulations to all the team members. ”
The Momentum conference is a premier event in Pakistan. It brings investors, entrepreneurs, and startups all under one roof to work on innovative and disruptive technologies to fuel Pakistan’s technological growth.
