The Higher Education Commission (HEC) successfully conducted the Review of Institutional Performance and Enhancement (RIPE) at NED University of Engineering and Technology from 6 to 8 January 2026. This initiative is part of HEC’s national quality assurance framework aimed at strengthening governance, academic standards, and institutional performance across Pakistan’s higher education sector.

The RIPE Review Panel was led by Prof. Dr. Fazal Khalid, SI, Rector of Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI), and comprised distinguished academic leaders from major universities nationwide. The panel undertook a comprehensive evaluation of NED University’s academic processes, governance structures, quality assurance mechanisms, student services, and physical infrastructure.

The visit concluded with an exit meeting where preliminary observations were shared with the university management. The panel commended NED University for its robust academic and administrative practices, reflecting a strong commitment to institutional excellence and continuous improvement.

HEC acknowledges the dedicated efforts of NED University’s Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) and appreciates the leadership of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Wasif for effective coordination throughout the RIPE process.
