We are deeply saddened by the passing of Prof. Dr. Khasan S. Karimov, a highly accomplished Foreign Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, who served the GIK Institute with distinction for over 25 years.
Prof. Karimov was a renowned scholar in renewable energy and device innovation. His academic legacy is vast, comprising 19 books and 51 patents. An “Inventor of the USSR” and a Laureate of the Tajikistan Academy of Sciences, he was also recognized as the “Best Inventor – 1997” in Tajikistan. His expertise and pioneering spirit have left an indelible mark on the Institute and the scientific community.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, students, and colleagues. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and give his loved ones the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
A condolence reference on behalf of the President SOPREST, GIKI Board of Governors, Executive Committee, and the GIK Institute was held on December 1, 2025. It was attended by the Rector, Pro-Rectors, Deans, Directors, Senior Faculty Members, and Students to offer Fateha and pay homage to his services.
