President SOPREST and President of the GIKI Board of Governors, Engr. Salim Saifullah Khan has appointed GIKI alumnus Barrister Engr. Habil Ahmed Khan as the Goodwill Ambassador of Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology. This appointment recognizes Barrister Habil’s outstanding leadership in alumni engagement, global outreach, and strategic partnerships. During his tenure as president of the GIKI Alumni Association, he spearheaded scholarship fundraising exceeding PKR 125 million, established endowment funds, and launched GIKI’s Alumni Office on campus. His efforts extended internationally, forging collaborations with leading institutions such as Arab Open University, Nazarbayev University, Narxoz University, and the Geological University of Tashkent, thereby strengthening GIKI’s global academic footprint. Barrister Habil has been a strong advocate for industry–academia policy synergies and represented Pakistan at major global energy and infrastructure forums. Rector GIKI, Prof. Dr. Fazal Khalid, SI, expressed deep appreciation for Barrister Engr. Habil Ahmed Khan’s outstanding contributions to GIKI in various capacities.
