
Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI), Topi, Pakistan hosted the prestigious IEEE Region 10 (Asia-Pacific) Student Summit 2025, themed “Empowering Tech: Building Ethical, Inclusive, and AI-Ready Engineers for a Resilient Tomorrow.” The summit brought together visionary leaders, scholars, and students from across the region to foster innovation, ethical governance, and inclusive technological advancement.
The event featured a series of impactful sessions led by distinguished speakers including Prof. Dr. Takako Hashimoto, Dr. Sarah Iqbal, Prof. Dr. Celia Shahnaz, Dr. Hadeed Ahmed Sher, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Moazam Fraz, covering topics such as AI applications, renewable energy, leadership, and sustainable technology.
The closing ceremony was graced by eminent guests including Rector Prof. Dr. Fazal Khalid, Pro-Rector (Academics) Prof. Dr. S. M. Hasan Zaidi, Pro-Rector (Admin) Brig. (R) Babar Miraj Shami, Prof. Dr. Nosherwan Shoaib (Chair, IEEE Islamabad Section), Dr. Sarah Iqbal (Chair, IEEE Islamabad Section SAC), and keynote speaker Dr. Salma Imtiaz, whose insights added immense value to the summit.
