REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE OF THE ABOVE POSITIONS

MANAGER / DEPUTY DIRECTOR (ORIC):

A full time Manager of Innovation & Commercialization will be responsible to oversee all aspects of the operation of the ORIC, which will also include the research administration (budgeting, auditing and accounting, human resources, management and maintenance of facilities and equipment, implementation of research contracts and human resources).

The Manager will also be tasked to develop programs and activities to increase funding for research from all public and private sources. And also establish and maintain excellent relationships with donors and stakeholders, oversee proposal development and submission.

He/she will also support the externally and internally sponsored projects of the institution by providing pre- and post-award support to PIs and ensuring compliance with Temple and sponsor regulations. The person will work in close liaison with the board of advance studies and research or office of sponsored research.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate pre- and post-award administrative procedures for externally sponsored projects.
  • Support faculty with grant proposal submissions in conjunction with sponsored projects administration (budget development; award documentation; administrative portions of proposals; internal approvals; monitor issues around effort, cost share, space needs, and tuition remission)
  • Support faculty regarding contracts, progress reports, and other sponsor-related grant actions.
  • Support faculty regarding post-award grant management, including projections, effort allocations and reporting, human resources, consultants, and close-outs.
  • Coordinate internal and external reporting needs, including maintenance of HEI’s database.
  • Develop and maintain the award process web pages.
  • Work with the administration to set goals and responsibilities within the research office and to monitor procedural efficiencies.
  • Develop programs and activities that will increase funding for research from all public and private sources, establish and maintain excellent relationships with donors and stakeholders, oversee proposal development and submission
  • Identify a programmatic strategy for research that promotes multidisciplinary collaboration within the university.
  • Facilitate collaborations among faculty through identifying overlapping research interests and providing opportunities to communicate.
  • Provide information about the grant process to faculty including study section procedures, interpreting reviews, and identifying appropriate funding mechanisms.
  • Develop and maintain research cores and infrastructure within the institute including web pages, internal grant review procedures, and statistical support.
  • Communicate with Development at both university and college levels about research initiatives and strengths.
  • The Manager will also maintain the record of number of agreements signed for collaboration with industry, government and number of national or international honors or awards won.

Eligibility and Experience:

  • Postgraduate degree from a quality institution in Management/Human Resources/Accounts & Finance or other related field.
  • The ideal person should have six years relevant experience working for Industrial-academia linkages, innovation & commercialization, research and track record of management of research projects, organization or research donor agencies.

DEPUTY DIRECTOR (HR):

MS in Management Sciences or MBA from a recognized University with at least 5 years’ post qualification HR experience in a government, semi government or autonomous or reputed private organization in the following fields, namely; personnel management and coordination. Should have excellent IT & communication skills.

MANAGER HOSTELS:

Master’s degree in Social Sciences or Graduate from a recognized university with a Diploma/training in restaurant/hotel/mess management, food services, and housekeeping with 5 / 7 years post-qualification experience in a large establishment. Should have good working knowledge of computers and excellent communication skills.

STAFF OFFICER TO RECTOR:

B.Sc. (Eng.) or Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Pubic Administration or Administrative / Social Sciences, or Natural Sciences from a reputed HEC recognized university preferably with 5 years post qualification experience in reputed organization (public /private)  sectors. Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation skills. Should have excellent  computer skills and  extra hardworking. 

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (ADMISSIONS):

B.Sc. (Eng.), M.Sc., or MBA/MA in Social or Administrative Sciences (or a related field) from a recognized university, with at least 2 years’ experience in roles such as Assistant Manager, Admissions Officer, Trainee, or similar within higher education. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in managing financial aid, scholarships, and entry tests at reputable institutions, along with strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office and CMS/LMS admissions portals.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (INCUBATION CENTER):

Master’s degree (at least 16 years’ education) from a reputed international or HEC recognized local institution in Engineering/Technology/Entrepreneurship/Business or other related field. The candidate should also have at least 2 years’ experience in tech startups, strong links with industry in the country and abroad, and venture capital and other sources of funding. Strong communication and management skills are essential.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (ORIC):

Master’s degree from a recognized university preferably with at least 2 years post qualification experience of working in Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) or Careers’ office (for students) of a government, semi-government or autonomous or reputed private Institution. Should have good working knowledge of MS office, taking minutes/notes of the meetings, drafting official noting/letters and excellent communication skills.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (PROCUREMENT):

Master’s Degree in Business Administration  or Basic Sciences or Social Sciences   from a recognized University  with 2 years experience in procurement (local purchase & imports) in a government or semi government or autonomous or a reputed private organization. Should have good working knowledge of computer and excellent communication skills.

COMPUTER ENGINEER:

BS in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Software Engineering (or closely related discipline) with specialization in Artificial Intelligence//Data Science, Parallel Programming with 1st Division from a recognized university. Candidates having experience of teaching and research will be given preference.

CHEMICAL ENGINEER:

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from PEC/HEC recognized university. Candidates having hands on experience of lab supervision and lab development in the relevant area will be given preference. 

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:

BE/BS degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering from a recognized university. Candidates having hands on experience in the fields of Digital Design & Embedded Systems,  Electrical Machines & Drives, Robotics & Autonomous Systems, and Power Systems or relevant areas.

SENIOR TEACHER (CHEMISTRY):

1st class Masters Degree in Chemistry preferably with B.Ed /M.Ed from a recognized university. Candidates having two years teaching experience in an English Medium School or at College leve will be given preference.

JUNIOR TEACHER (MATHEMATICS):

B.A. or B. Sc. With PTC or CT having teaching experience in an English Medium School or at college level of good repute will be given preference.

LAB. TECHNICIAN:

1st class DAE in Mechanical Engineering from a Board of Technical Education With 3-yesr post diploma relevant experience in industry, academia or scientific organization of repute. Candidates with hands on experience in the fields of CNC Machining, Welding and Fabrication will be given reference. Computer Skills are essential.

PLUMBER/ PUMP OPERATOR:

Middle with 4 years’ relevant experience.

DRIVER:

Matric with valid L.T.V. driving license (H.T.V./P.S.V will be preferred) with 5 years’ driving experience. Maximum age limit is 45 years.

AUTO MECHANIC:

Diploma (DAE) in Mechanical from a recognized Polytechnic Institute with two years relevant experience. Knowledge of word processing is preferable.

SECURITY GUARD:

Recently retired from Armed Forces/Paramilitary/Police Personnel.

LECTURER:

Master’s degree in computer science or related field from HEC recognized University / Institution, with First lass academic career and having expertise in Cyber Security, Full Stack Development and Web 3.0., Machine Learning/Deep Learning and Data Science.

INDUSTRY EXPERT:

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, with 3-4 years of  experience in IT, having expertise in Cyber Security, Full Stack Development and Web 3.0
