Women Engineering Society- Sanitary Kits Package Campaign for Flood Affected Areas

The Women Engineering Society (WES) under the Student Affairs Department organized a flood relief campaign program in October 2022 for the female in the flood affected areas of Baluchistan, Southern Punjab, and KPK, in collaboration with Mahwari Justice (Menstruation Relief Campaign). “Mahwari Justice is a menstruation relief campaign for flood victims initiated by two students, Bushra Mahnoor and Anum Khalid, who are reaching out and providing young female flood victims with menstrual hygiene kits. Each kit contains a pack of sanitary napkins, either bought or made by themselves, a bar of soap and underwear”. WES previously initiated a campaign to collect monetary funds for the people of the flood affected areas. In the latter phase, volunteers from all batches of GIK Institute packed sanitary kits for flood struck communities. The Women Engineering Society was successful in packaging around 700 kits in just one day with 30 volunteers from student body.
