QEC at GIK Institute conducted Self-Assessment Review (SAR) of MS and PhD Materials Engineering Program and MS Program in Nanotechnology and Materials Engineering
On Thursday, 8th March 2023 at 11:00 AM QEC conducted a Self-Assessment Review of MS and PhD Materials Engineering Programs and MS Program in Nanotechnology and Materials Engineering in Faculty of Materials and Chemical Engineering (FMCE), under Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), chaired by M. Wisal Khalil, Director QEC, GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences & Technology, Topi.
The Program Team (PT) consisted of the following members from FMCE:
- Dr. M. Ramzan A. Karim, Associate Professor – Member
- Dr. Shanza Rehan, Assistant Professor – Member
The Assessment Team (AT) consisted of the following members:
- Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Qazi, External Member, IST, Islamabad
- Prof. Dr. Zahid Halim, Internal Inter-Faculty Member, FCSE, GIK Institute
- Dr. Shozab Mehdi, Internal Inter-Faculty Member, DChE, GIK Institute
The Purpose of the meeting was to check the program against the HEC minimum criteria to for its compliance in terms of program structure, resources, policies, and its overall progress. The assessment team, after thorough review of the SAR activity gave their recommendation to the program for improvement. The review meeting was followed by Exit meeting with the Dean FMCE where some key highlights were shared by the assessment team.
