Introduction
Dr. Syed Zameer Abbas is an experienced academic with teaching and research experience in Materials Science and Engineering. He earned his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the GIK Institute Pakistan. His research interests include Bulk Metallic Glasses, High-Entropy Alloys, In-situ Metal Matrix Composites, Magnetic Shape Memory Alloys and coatings. He possesses strong experimental expertise in alloy development, heat treatment, and advanced materials characterization techniques, including Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Thermal Analysis. He has published several research articles in reputed journals, some of which are listed in this page as well.

Laboratory Management
1. Scanning Electron Microscopy Laboratory
In-charge SEM laboratory (2012 -2025). Proficient in operation and use of SEM. SEM Operational Training from Carl Zeiss (UK) for EVO-15 SEM. Also experienced on Philips XL-30 SEM.
2. Thin Films and Alloy making Laboratory
Laboratory in-charge. Operation of lab scale controlled atmosphere arc furnace (MAM-1 Edmund Buehler Germany) for alloy making and vacuum thermal evaporator (Edwards UK) for making thin films of mostly metals.
