Ongoing Research Projects

Currently engaged in research focused on advancing civil and transportation engineering by integrating BIM with Infrastructure planning, design and management practices. Additionally, key research areas include Smart Mobility, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and UAV technology with Computer Vision and Machine Learning.

Awards and Honors

Financial award for supervising final year design project, Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), 2023-2024. Supervised BS Final Year Project won 2nd prize in Open House 2024 (Department of Civil Engineering). Received Gold Medallion from DG FWO for excellent performance during service. HEC-Pakistan Overseas Fully Funded Scholarship holder for Masters leading to PhD 2013-2018. Secured fully funded scholarship to attend EIT Labs Summer School (2014) at Eurecom, France. Received Cash prize from DHA-Pakistan as a token of appreciation for Bachelor’s final year project.

Professional Development

Professional Engineer, Pakistan Engineering Council. Organized Workshop titled ‘Water Professionals Network’ in collaboration with IWMI-USAID in International Islamic University Islamabad, Pakistan on 28th February, 2024.  Organized International Conference titled ‘1st International Conference on Climate Change and Emerging Trends in Civil Engineering’, in GIKI, Topi, Swabi, Pakistan on 12th & 13th February, 2024. Organized International Workshop titled ‘International Workshop on Curriculum Development through Project based learning and CDIO’ in International Islamic University Islamabad, Pakistan on 9th & 10th January, 2024. Completed multiple certified courses offered by Coursera. Participated in various certified seminars as a part of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program of PEC. Attended various training workshops on implementation of Outcome-based Education (OBE) in Civil Engineering.
