Background of the speaker:
Muhammad Shamir is working as a Technical Lead of Additive Manufacturing at AMRC, University of Sheffield, UK. Dr Shamir received his BS and MS degrees from GIK Institute in 2012 and 2015. respectively. He then served as a lecturer at the School of Chemical and Materials Engineering, NUST Islamabad for 1.5 years before moving to the UK for his PhD in Materials and Manufacturing Engineering. His PhD was focused on the application of additive manufacturing in aerospace structures and was jointly funded by BAE Systems and Coventry University. Prior to joining AMRC, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in additive manufacturing at Cranfield University and the University of Strathclyde, UK.
