The course focuses on corporate policy formulation and implementation. The knowledge and techniques learned in earlier courses will be applied in an integrated fashion to the process of strategic decision making and organizational change. Among the topics considered in the course will be relationships of organizations to their environments, the hierarchy of organizational objectives, structured as well as informal approaches to strategic planning, the integration of business functions, organizational structure, and policy implementation and evaluation. A significant aspect of the course is devoted to assessing the competitive dynamics of firms.
