The purpose of the course is to familiarize students within Pakistani parameters with factors that shape a society, theories about personality development, cultural change, socialization, functioning of normative systems, cultural diffusion, social mobility, sub-cultures and counter-cultures, cultural relativism, social stratification and social institutions.
