Introduction to the concepts and methods of optical and microwave multispectral image generation and analysis; fundamentals of imaging sensor design and image analysis for complex scenes; applications of signal processing and signal design principles; statistical pattern recognition; spatial image processing; cartographic and geographic information systems techniques as appropriate to land scene data.
