This course will discuss the principles, concept and basic problems affecting manufacturing and non-manufacturing firms. Topics covered will explore Tangible & intangible functions of production, Discrete & continuous manufacturing processes & systems, Conventional & system approach to Design, Production planning & Control, Process planning, Quality control, Quality assurance, Assembly methods, Packaging, Production work measurements, Production standards, Production philosophies.
