Introduction, review of discrete-time systems; review of digital filters; fundamentals of multirate systems; maximally decimated filter banks; paraunitary perfect reconstruction filter banks; linear phase perfect reconstruction QMF banks; cosine modulated filter banks; quantization effects; multirate filter bank theory and related topics; the wavelet transform and its relation to multirate filter bank; multidimensional multirate systems; multidimensional multirate systems; multivariable and lossless systems; paraunitary systems.
