This course, too, is offered to non-Muslim students in place of Islamic Studies as a second option. They are given sociological perspectives on cultural changes and the role played by scientific and technological innovations affecting such changes. The main topics dwelt upon are the holistic character of cultures; the phenomenon of cultural lag and the resultant socio-cultural dislocations; the social order and technology nexus; and the impact of technological advancements on social institutions.

3 Lab hours constitute 1 credit hour
1 credit hour implies 1 lecture of 50mins per academic week. 16 weeks in total.
