Formulation of steady and unsteady, multidimensional conduction in different geometries. Methods of solution including separation of variables, integral transformation, and numerical means. Electromagnetic background and definitions. Interaction of radiation with homogenous matter and with interfaces. Black body radiation. Radiation from real surfaces. Radiative energy transfer between surfaces and enclosures.
