Fundamentals of Management is an introductory course about the management of organizations. It provides guidelines on principles of management that are applicable to all types of enterprises; basic management philosophy and decision making; principles involved in planning, organizing, leading, and controlling; and recent concepts in management. The course contents include general introduction to management, four phases of management including planning, organizing, leading and controlling; global environment; managing change and innovation; human resource management introduction; organizational behavior; power politics, conflict, and stress; leading with influence; communication and information technology; control systems; and operations management. The contents learned in this course will allow students to work effectively with others in an organization. The course will also encourage students to explore the applicability of western management principles and theories in local settings.

All hours are per week.
3 Lab hours constitute 1 credit hour
1 credit hour implies 1 lecture of 50mins per academic week. 16 weeks in total.
