Coulomb’s Law and the electric field, Gauss’s Law, electric potential, electric energy, and properties of insulator, current and resistance, Ohms Law, conduction in semiconductors, energy and current in DC circuits,magnetic field, force on a current-carrying conductor, Biot-Savart law, Faraday’s law, self-induced EMF’s and self-inductance, energy transfers in LR circuits, mutual inductance, transformers. Magnetic fields in matters, para, Dia and Ferro-Magnetism, LC Oscillations, RLC Circuits, Phasor – Diagram.

Pre-requisites: PH101Co-requisites: None

Hours: XYZ where X = Lecture, Y = Lab, Z = Credit
All hours are per week.
3 Lab hours constitute 1 credit hour
1 credit hour implies 1 lecture of 50mins per academic week. 16 weeks in total.
