Biomaterials and their classification, cell/materials interaction and biocompatibility, synthesis and production methods, advanced alloys for production of hip joints, prostheses, and implants, hydroxyapatite (HA) surface coatings, dental materials, bio-glasses and bone cements, , new materials (nano biomaterials) and advanced processing technology, modeling and design aspects, organic and composite materials for biomedical applications.

Hours: XYZ where X = Lecture, Y = Lab, Z = Credit
All hours are per week.
3 Lab hours constitute 1 credit hour
1 credit hour implies 1 lecture of 50mins per academic week. 16 weeks in total.
