Design of data models, recently developed protocols to guarantee consistency of databases, the design of physical models, and performance analysis techniques, algorithms and data structures such a B-trees, transposed files, phantom files, and hybrid structures, distributed databases & database machines. Object oriented databases concepts.

Pre-requisites: CS232
Co-requisites: none

Hours: XYZ where X = Lecture, Y = Lab, Z = Credit
All hours are per week.
3 Lab hours constitute 1 credit hour
1 credit hour implies 1 lecture of 50mins per academic week. 16 weeks in total.
