Engr. M. Ahmad Nawaz is a dedicated cybersecurity professional with a strong academic background and extensive experience in both teaching and practical applications of cybersecurity measures. He holds a Master of Science in Information Security from COMSATS University Islamabad, where he focused on privacy preservation in healthcare data and developed innovative solutions to protect sensitive information from various attacks.
Currently, Ahmad serves as a Cyber Security Lecturer at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, where he teaches courses related to cybersecurity and computing. Prior to this role, he was a lecturer at Riphah International University, where he instructed a variety of cybersecurity courses, including vulnerability assessment and digital forensics.
In his professional career, Ahmad has worked as a Cyber Security Engineer at Software Productivity Strategists, Inc., where he implemented security measures, conducted vulnerability assessments, and developed incident response plans to mitigate security breach. His experience also includes managing security projects that improved incident response times and enhanced overall security posture.
Ahmad’s research contributions are noteworthy, with several accepted papers at the 1st International Conference on Recent Advances in Computing, AI, and Data Science (CAIDS-2023), covering topics such as security challenges in big data and digital forensics. His master’s thesis proposed a novel scheme for dynamic data publishing that enhances privacy protection in healthcare organizations.
In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Ahmad is actively involved in extracurricular activities, including served as a Faculty Advisor for the IDEA Riphah Society and Ex-VP of IDEA COMSATS Islamabad. He participating in various workshops to enhance his skills in cybersecurity tools and methodologies. He is proficient in multiple programming languages and tools, which further supports his capabilities in the cybersecurity domain.
