Introduction, characteristics of biological systems, adaptability, reactivity, distributivism, comparison with traditional human-engineered approaches to problem-solving, handling complex problems using computational methods modeled after design principles encountered in nature, foundations of complex systems and theoretical biology, distributed architectures of natural complex systems, production of informatics tools with enhanced robustness, scalability, flexibility, interface with humans, principles of biology, informatics, cognitive science, robotics, cybernetics, etc., applied for computing problems.
