FFC International Conference on Future Operations for Research and Green Environment (FORGE-2026)

Innovation, Technology & Sustainable Manufacturing

7–8 October 2026
GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Topi, Pakistan

Conference Overview

FORGE-2026 is a national conference organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering at GIK Institute, in partnership with Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC). It brings together researchers, engineers, industry leaders, and students to advance industrial sustainability, technological innovation, and academia–industry collaboration across Pakistan’s process industries — fertilizers, chemicals, energy, and manufacturing.

The conference is built around one goal: closing the gap between what gets published in research and what actually gets implemented on the plant floor. Sessions, case studies, and technology showcases are all selected with that in mind.

Conference Objectives

FORGE-2026 aims to:

  • Strengthen capacity building in sustainability, climate change, process safety, and occupational health.
  • Promote academia–industry collaboration for solving real-world industrial challenges.
  • Foster long-term research partnerships between universities and industry.
  • Accelerate innovation in clean energy, green hydrogen, and industrial decarbonization.
  • Showcase emerging technologies, industrial best practices, and successful case studies.
  • Support Pakistan’s transition towards sustainable and resource-efficient industrial development.
