
Dr. Yonghui Wu gave lectures for programming training at GIK Institute
From January 25 to February 2, Dr. Yonghui Wu, an associate professor from the School of Computer Science at Fudan University, gave lectures for programming training at GIK Institute, supported by the Office of Global Partnerships (Key Projects Development Fund).
Dr. Yonghui Wu won three medals in ACM ICPC World Finals for Fudan University. His book series “Collegiate Programming Contests and Education” has been published in simplified and traditional Chinese and English: the former by respective publishers of mainland China and Taiwan, and the latter, the first book’s translation, by CRC Press. Since 2013, he has been giving lectures not only in China, but also in other countries. This is the first time Dr. Yonghui Wu visit Pakistan.
During Dr. Yonghui Wu visiting GIK Institute, he made a speech “Teaching Materials, Curriculums, and the Teaching System Cross-Region for “Solving Problems by Programming””, gave several lectures for GIK Institute, and showed his teaching model: case teaching for polishing students programming skills solving problems.
Prof. S. M. Hasan Zaidi, Acting Rector of GIK Institute, interviewed Dr. Yonghui Wu to discuss future cooperation between GIK Institute and Fudan University. Prof. S. M. Hasan Zaidi let Dr. Yonghui Wu transfer his regards and GIK Institute’s gift to Fudan University’s leaders.
