Four of GIK’s esteemed researchers have been recognized in the prestigious world’s top 2% scientists list for 2024, compiled by Stanford University and Elsevier.
Prof. Dr. Zahid Halim, Dean ODL, has earned this honor for the second consecutive year. A distinguished expert in affective computing and artificial intelligence, Dr. Halim continues to make significant contributions to his field.
Prof. Dr. Ghulam Abbas, Head of the Department of Cyber Security & Software Engineering, has also been included in the list of world’s top 2% scientists. His research focuses on networking and telecommunications, underscoring his influential role in advancing these critical areas.
Dr. Muhammad Zahir Iqbal, Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering Sciences, is celebrated for the fourth consecutive year as one of the top 2% scientists globally. His innovative work in photovoltaics, supercapacitors, fuel cells, and electronic devices, has garnered international recognition.
Dr. Muhammad Faisal Javed, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, has also made it to the list of top 2% scientists globally for 2024. He is recognized for his expertise in construction materials.
