GIK Institute deeply condoles death of the late Mr. Muhammad Azam Khan, Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

On behalf of the President, Executive Director, Rector, and Staff, we extend our deepest condolences on the sad demise of Mr. Azam Khan, the Caretaker Chief Minister of KP. We mourn the loss of a dedicated individual who, through his words and actions, exhibited a profound commitment to education and the enhancement of institutions like GIKI. His emphasis on fostering character development and civic responsibility underscored a genuine passion for shaping the future leaders of Pakistan.

As Chief Secretary of the province, the generous allocation of a large chunk of land for building GIK Institute was one of his various outstanding contributions. The Board of Governors of GIK Institute, the Rector, and employees of the GIK Institute also condoled his death. They expressed profound gratitude to the Late Chief Minister for his invaluable grant, which will always stand as a testament to his dedication to the education sector and the future of the province’s youth. SOPREST and GIK passed special resolutions with a special message from President Engr. Salim Saifullah Khan on behalf of BOG and the Institute, condoles the sad demise of Azam Khan.

The late Chief Minister presided over a recent induction ceremony of the GIK Institute for 2023. He appreciated GIK’s standards of education, took a deep interest in the Institute’s labs and other infrastructure facilities, visited one of them including a smart classroom of one of the programs of the Institute, and wished for further support for the university further.

The President of GIK Institute Engr. Salim Saifullah Khan and Executive Director Mr. Shakeel Durrani visited Prang village to offer condolence to the family of the late Chief Minister Mr Azam Khan. SOPREST/GIK would always remember the late Azam Khan, one of the selfless and dedicated senior bureaucrats of the province who always worked with dedication and interest in the welfare of the people. His efforts to uphold the ideals of community service and education would inspire future generations.

May his impactful legacy endure through the lives of the students he influenced. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all those who have benefitted from his unwavering dedication to education and public service.
