Leadership and Entrepreneurial Society (LES) under the Department of Student Affairs organized an Intra GIK event named as “ENNOVATE” on December 7, 2023. The event was in collaboration with the Hult Prize Foundation, an international body that challenges young people around the world to solve the planet’s most pressing issues through social entrepreneurship with their annual Hult-prize Challenge (2023).
In the challenge the participant were given a task to create a for-profit social venture, in the fashion/clothing industry. The idea created had a measurable positive impact on people and the planet, and it supported the United Nations in meeting its SDGs by the 2030 deadline.
The participants in the event were entertained with a “Qawwali Night” in the evening followed by a closing ceremony. As one of Hult-prize’s On Campus programs, the winners of ENNOVATE will be headed straight to the global semi-finals, skipping the qualifiers and quarter finals stages, and bringing them closer to the $1 million prize. In addition, LES will also be providing the trainings to the winning team and help them refine their business plan and pitching skills.
