Plantation Drive by Student Affairs Department
A plantation drive was organized by the Student Affairs Department on Friday 21 October 2022 at GIK Institute. Character Building Society, Project Topi and Horticulture Department assisted in the plantation drive. Rector GIK Institute Prof. Dr Fazal Ahmed Khalid (SI) inaugurated the plantation drive. Students, faculty members and staff members actively participated in the plantation drive. It was a step taken in the fall 2022 semester towards the Clean and Green Pakistan. Later a session regarding green and clean campaign was delivered to the students, faculty members and staff members on the site of the plantation drive. Trees provide clean atmosphere to all the living beings, and it helps in the purification of the Oxygen. It also helps in overcoming the heated temperature and it also helps in reducing the floods. The participants were motivated to help in extending the plantation drive in their hometown.
