Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) and Kashmiris in all over the world observed Black Day on Wednesday (October 27, 2021) to mark the illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by India on October 27, 1947. It was on this day when the Indian troops invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it in a blatant violation of the Partition Plan of the subcontinent and against the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

The Debate Team of Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute hosted a public session on 27th October 2021 at 7PM Main lecture hall FMCE to raise awareness about the Kashmir and Black Day. They showcased an intense Asian Parliamentary style debate on the motion “This House as Pakistan should support Kashmiri freedom fighters” in which they debated on the impacts of freedom fighters on the Kashmir, what role should Pakistan take in order to support Kashmir the best without risking its own political stability.

Furthermore, The Urdu Debate Team of Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute gave engaging declamation on the Kashmir issue in order to spread the word about the Indian oppression on Kashmir this day.
