To create an entrepreneurial atmosphere for nurturing ideas into commercialized products, the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization under the supervision of specialized faculty and staff, conducted “INDUCTION 2015” at “THE INCUBATOR” on Wednesday, 15th April, 2015. The event was meant for graduates who wish to commercialize their ideas into a full-fledged startup. THE INCUBATOR provides a platform for talented people who think out of the box and are waiting for a platform to work on their ideas.
Teams from all over the country registered and shortlisted teams were provided a platform at the Induction 2015. The esteemed jury members from Plan9, NUST and GIK Institute were welcomed by Rector GIK Institute at the Guest House.
Ms. Farah Hamid Khan Secretary ST&IT, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was the chief guest at the event. She appreciated the services and efforts of the GIK Institute for the development of engineering sector and also performed the opening ceremony of:
· High Performance Computing Laboratory.
· Photolithography Laboratory.
The honorable guests visited the Department of Management Sciences and met with the existing Incubation teams. Secretary ST&IT appreciated the work of the Incubation teams working at the GIK Institute’s Incubation program.
Each team presented their ideas and the judges evaluated the participants.
A certificate distribution ceremony was held and each participant was given a certificate for their participation in “Induction 2015” by Secretary ST&IT.
The honorable Secretary ST&IT was presented a shield by the Rector, GIK Institute.
